Fortes Change Cloud release June 2026

Impact Planning, smart workflows and more control over portfolio information

The new Fortes Change Cloud release for June 2026 once again introduces many new possibilities and improvements. These make central control of the project organisation even more efficient. We are happy to take you through the highlights:

Impact planning: making visible what shifts really mean

In addition to the existing capacity and financial planning, you can now also make the impact of planning changes visible at the objective level. Suppose you need to adjust the budget for a project due to new insights. What does that mean specifically for the cost savings you want to realise this year? With Impact Planning, you can see this immediately, in the same multi-aspect scenario.

At the same time, you can link the impact of such a planning environment to long-term goals. A shift in your project planning that brings one objective closer may have a negative effect on another strategic objective. This makes the trade-off for decision-makers much more concrete: not only “can we do this?”, but also “what will it cost us if we do not do this?”

Impact Planning thus connects the planned scenario functionality to your goals, shifts initiatives and shows the combined consequences for capacity, budget and underlying goals in list view. This allows you to present well-founded choices to decision-makers, including the consequences.

Workflows: get a grip on information from within and outside your organisation

Portfolio management stands or falls with the quality of the information available. Retrieving the right information is often challenging. In our previous release, we introduced workflows for this purpose. In this release, this functionality has been further developed.

You send targeted information requests to teams, review boards, finance & control or other stakeholders via a configurable canvas. These teams can see exactly which initiatives they need to assess and fill in the requested fields.

The portfolio manager assesses the submitted information and can continue or reject it for further processing. The workflow for requesting information also works across organisations. For complex government structures or chain collaborations, obtaining information from external organisations is often just as important. Do we work with Fortes Change Cloud? Then you can easily link a joint initiative, increment or sprint. Does the chain partner not work with Fortes Change Cloud? Then the information can be requested via Excel and submitted through an imported form.

The canvas that you attach to a portfolio and fund request is now also available for the workflow step. This means you can determine which information is requested and the person filling it in sees a recognisable and clear form.

Prevent duplicate work with centralised planning intervals

In the Agile Program Model, you now define planning intervals centrally. You configure sprints and increments once for all teams. They are then linked to multiple ARTs. This makes the process faster and prevents manual administration.

Adjustments in Power BI can be displayed with DAX

To quickly estimate progress and identify risks, you often want to see the difference between two pieces of data in a dashboard: budget versus actuals, planned versus realised and so on. You can now show differences in Power BI without adding separate fields or making changes to the data structure.

Using DAX calculations, you can calculate the desired result directly, after which you can link the formatting to signal colours. This allows you to spot important changes in OKRs at a glance.

Create views to make role-specific overviews

Within all parts of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), you can now create, save and manage views. A view stores your preferred settings for columns, filters, groupings and other settings. This makes it easy to create specific views for stakeholders or roles.

You configure them so that they can be reused in multiple places where needed. In addition, there are several more improvements in this release of Fortes Change Cloud, such as different improvements and expansions to the portfolio archive and history, the use of team-specific or project-specific fields in combination with a model, and the bulk import of Kanban items.
